Wreaths Galore!

Oh how I love to make wreaths. I have made too many to count. I will upload pictures of just some of the ones that I have made. I give many of them away but I also use them for my house. I hope you enjoy seeing them.

Sorry about the quality of some of the photos. Many were taken with my phone or iPad.

Many of the wreaths I make are from foam wreaths and yarn with decals for decorations.

Christmas wreath with 3 types of ribbon & a bell in the middle.
 Another Christmas wreath.
I pretty wreath I made with hand rolled felt roses.

Summer Wreath

Then there are wreaths that I have made using the straw wreath. These are harder for me to do only because I like my yarn to lay nice and neat and pretty and when you use the straw wreaths, even with the plastic left on, the straw tends to poke through and you have to over lap the yarn. I like how thick the straw wreaths are and the fact that they are some what cheaper.
Fall wreath with hand rolled felt roses.
 Wreath for my niece.
Wreath for my nephew.

Then I have made wreaths with the wire wreath frames. These are fun as well.
This is a Thanksgiving wreath I made using tulle and ribbon. I cut the tulle about 2 feet long and then looped it around the wire frame. I added a plaque in the middle with our last names and hand painted some leaves on there. I added ribbon for the legs and orange foam for the feet.
Easter wreath with Easter grass and plastic eggs with ribbon. I put hot glue on the wire frame and then laid the grass on there. Once that was done then hot glued the plastic eggs on. Then add a bow.

I have also made wreaths using cross stitch loop.
I made this for my classroom but this was before I added more decorations.

I found a picture of one grape vine wreaths I made.

I hope you enjoy making wreaths as much as I do. Thanks for visiting.

Key Holders

Hello, it has been a while and I haven't done any new crafts but I was looking back at some of my projects that I have made and love to share. I have had several family members asking me to make them key holders. I haven't taken pictures of all of them but here are some of my favorites. I'm very sorry but these aren't the best pictures.
Here is one I made for my sister. Her house colors are red, white, & blue and that is what she got.
This is the one I made for my house. Our kitchen (which is where this hangs) is red & black. My last name begins with a K so no this "K" doesn't stand for keys. Everyone tends to ask me that.
This one I made for my cousin Ashley. She wanted colors that match her bedroom which were brown & teal. This one is turned out fabulous.

This is how I made them.

Materials:
  • Wooden Frame (I use the ones from Michael's that have no finish on them)
  • Push Pin Picutre Hooks (again I got these from Michael's in the framing section)
  • Paint
  • Brush
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Little Decals for decoration
  • Mod Podge
  • Hot Glue Gun
* Cricut if possible

Instructions:
  1. I tend to start with the painting of the frame. Let dry completely and give another coat or two.
  2. When paint is completely dry I like to protect it by applying Mod Podge  on top of it.
  3. The pins I had bought were gold & if I wanted them a different color I would paint those as well.
  4. I would then use my Cricut to cut out initials or shapes. For my sisters I only cut out the top layer.
  5. Take the back of the picture frame and trace out the back layer of the scrapbook paper.
  6. Mod Podge it onto the picture frame back. Mod Podge your initial or shape on to the top of the background scrapbook paper. Allow to dry completely.
  7. Start putting everything together. Place the back, back onto the frame. Flip over and add push pin hooks. Then hot glue decals to add the finishing touch.
  8. Enjoy!!!
If you have questions please leave a comment & I would get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks for stopping by.

Crafts

I love making crafts when I have time. Here is a link to my Pinterest board of all the crafts I made. Unfortunately I didn't blog on how to make them but if anyone has questions on how to make them I would be more than happy to tell you how and what I did.

I have made shadow boxes, tutu's, wreaths, silhouettes, hot plates, painted pumpkins, hair bows, headphone covers, and many more projects.
