Laundry Room Remodel
I have been lacking when it comes to posting on this blog. I'm thinking of changing it up a little bit but oh well. We decided to remodel our laundry room and we did but it was done a year ago. Of course I forgot to take pictures of the before but it had this outside, rough laminate floor. Here are some picture.

Fireplace
This project happened a week or two before Christmas. Yes, thank you honey! He wanted a TV mounted above the fireplace but he didn't want to drill a hole into the fireplace so we found this wonderful How-To, on my favorite site, Pinterest.(http://sawdustgirl.com/2011/02/28/how-to-hide-tv-cords-in-trim-work-guest-post/) Here is the ugly yellowish tan I'm talking about.
Before the sprucing up! I guess it doesn't look too yellowish in these photos but they are :(
After:
So much nicer looking, if I don't say so myself. I plan on adding built in shelves and cabinets on both sides of the fireplace.
It took 1 weekend to complete this project.

Bathrooms
I love remodeling it is one of my many hobbies. We remodeled our 1/2 bath because it was plain, outdated and boring. I can't say that now. Here are some of our before pictures.
I just had to add a chandelier to this bathroom. It was a pain to make but well worth it. I bought it from Ikea and it only comes in brushed nickle but I wanted most of the fixture black in this bathroom. So I had to disassemble this and there were many pieces then put it all back together with out scratching any of the black off. Then we had to make sure it was fitted to ceiling. What another pain but worth it.
Again I made the silhouettes and hair bow holder on the walls. I love them!!!!
Yes there was a pedestal sink on that wall but we removed it before I got in a couple pics. All the fixtures in this house are the 1980's gold and I'm slowly getting rid of it. I HATE GOLD!!! My hubby picked out the paint and he did a fabulous job. We are so happy with the work .
We added wainscoting around the bottom half of the walls, shelving and a towel bar above the toilet. We found an awesome switch plate that also has wainscoting look to it. We also decided on the brush nickle finish. Again, very happy with the end result. It is probably the most used bathroom.
Adding some decorations finally.
Then the girls bathroom. I haven't remodeled this bathroom yet but it is in the near future and I will update when we do. For this bathroom I found the cutest shower curtain and my imagination was taken from there.
I decided on a ballerina pink for the walls and a "Tres Chic" theme. Again I brought in the elements of Paris, the fashion capital of the world.
I made the silhouettes and the hair bow holder. I love being able to add my own work to my projects. Most of the time it is less costly than store bought.

Front Yard
Hello again, we had a decent front yard when we moved it but we had to spruce it up with black mulch. It looks so pretty here. This was like 2 months after we moved in. Lots of black mulch. By the mail box, under the dogwood tree, under our bay window, and then all on the right hand side of our yard, which made it a rather small grass area. Then we found out we have rabbits, squirrels, and deer who loved our beautiful flowers so they didn't last very long. Oh they were so beautiful.
This past spring we decided that is wasn't worth spending $400 a year to re-mulch our entire yard. We had to re-mulch in the fall because all of these beautiful trees lost all of their leaves and then again in late Spring after all our gorgeous flowering trees shed their petals. So we decided to put in more sod. To do this we had to build tree rings around our dogwood and Japanese maple trees. Then the 1000+ sq. ft. area on our right hand side of our yard was half mulch & half, much hated and despised, Kudzu. I despise that stuff because you have to pull it up if you want it to die because nothing kills it. We also had to build a wall where holly bushes were and we planted roses and calla lilies.
Here are some during photos.
There here are the nearly finished products. It took a total of 2 entire weekends and that is including working in the rain. We just need our bench by the bay window to finish the product.
We are so happy with the finished project and have been enjoying it for the last couple months.
